Readings From The Satanic Bible - Part 3

The Book of Lucifer:
The "book of Lucifer" is my personal favorite part of the Satanic Bible. This is the book of Enlightenment. While the "book of Satan" states many of the Satanic beliefs, it lacks presenting explanations and justifications for those beliefs. The "book of Lucifer" is basically the more explained and justified part of the bible.

Lavey provides this magnificent introduction:
The Roman god, Lucifer, was the bearer of light, the spirit of the air, the personification of enlightenment. In Christian mythology he became synonymous with evil, which was only to have been expected from a religion whose very existence is perpetuated by clouded definitions and bogus values! It is time to set the record straight. False moralisms and occult inaccuracies must be corrected. Entertaining as they might be, most stories and plays about Devil worship must be recognized as the obsolete absurdities they are. It has been said "the truth will make men free". The truth alone has never set anyone free. It is only DOUBT which will bring mental emancipation. Without the wonderful element of doubt, the doorway through which truth passes would be tightly shut, impervious to the most strenuous poundings of a thousand Lucifers. How understandable that Holy Scripture should refer to the Infernal monarch as the "father of lies" - a magnificent example of character inversion. If one is to believe this theological accusation that the Devil represents falsehood, then it surely must be concurred that it was HE, NOT GOD, THAT ESTABLISHED ALL SPIRITUAL RELIGIONS AND WHO WROTE ALL OF THE HOLY BIBLES! When one doubt is followed by another, the bubble, grown large from long accumulated fallacies, threatens to burst. For those who already doubt supposed truths, this book is revelation. Then Lucifer will have risen. Now is the time for doubt! The bubble of falsehood is bursting and its sound is the roar of the world!

if u haven't noticed yet that all religions are based on beleif...not facts..only blind belief. we do not have any facts in any religion in which things are 100% explained..ane even if things are explained it doesn't mean that these things are true.
i have not read the satanic bible..i dont know what it says..but i dont think it has any facts more than true religions do..and correct me if am wrong..

"if u haven't noticed yet that all religions are based on belief...not facts..only blind belief." - Thats not entirely true. It is true that religions are based on belief. The key issue is whether that belief is justified or not justified. Or in other words, a bind belief or enlightened belief.

In a recent post, I highlighted one of the important features (among other features) that differentiate Satanism -as a LHP religions- from some of the mainstream religions (say, Christianity) -as RHP religions-. That feature is that mainstream religions follow a guided and enlightened path. Mainstream religions present authoritative "facts" thats its followers are expected to blindly accept. On the other hand, Satanism leaves it upto each individual to separate myth from fact, and to discover the truth without guidance. It follows a dark path, an unguided and non-lightened path, and sometimes a not previously explored path.

Finally, it sounds like you are atheist, was this a good guess?! Otherwise, may we know what is your belief system?

well i read that post...never heard of this RHP LHP thing..thanks for the information..and to answer your question no i am not an atheist..christian..and proud lol...anyway just a few comments on that post:
i believe that our religion is much less of a religion of following a leader, or submission to a deity like u said in comparison to other RHP religions (i like the term lol) because to me God is not there for me to worship him..he is there to guide me through things...i pray to God..in times of need..not to solve my problems..but to give me the ability to solve them..and to open my eyes to the truth...now God might be doing that..or he might just be there to give me comfort that i am not alone..either ways u must solve ur problems on ur own..u must choose right from wrong on your own..and God gives u options..he created evil in this world..to teach us what good is..by that he is giving u an option..when i said i'm proud to be a christian (eventhough am not that much of a religious person when it comes to prayer and fasting and going to church)
its because we are not reminded all the time of the punishment we might get when we sin..God has given us the right to sin..and to ask for forgivness after we have sinned for he himself knows that the only human that has never sinned was his own son...to me God is good..i know that our religion says u either follow my son or ur going to hell..i kind of disagree with that...i believe that no matter who u worship in this life..or whether u worship a holy being or not...u will be judged simply by ur actions..and when it comes down to actions all religions are more or less on the same page..of do not lie..do not kill..be good to ur parents and to the people around u...help those in need..etc.. and simply believe that there is a higher power in control of everything....now about LHP being a path of creating your own conception of morality, goodness, and idealism i believe this will only make this world way worse that it already is...for u give people the right to make their own rules i bet no 2 people will go by the same set of rules..its like u saying that there need not be countries and governments on this earth...for every man can do what he wants and live by whatever rules he finds better for him... now about the darkness thing..darkness can mean many things it can mean sins.. being so far away from goodness..or it can mean difficulties and hardship and suffering..if u mean the first one then my answer is the same God has given u the right to sin...and the right to repent...if u mean the latter then God also encouraged exploration of the darkness in order to learn and grow..because through darkness u will learn what light is..

"God has given us the right to sin.." - This is a conceptual falsehood. According to Christian literature if you sin, you get a punishment. And this punishment ends the part where sin is considered a right.

Maybe, in Jordan we also have the right to kill people, but it just so happens that you'd be sent to jail for 30 years. Of course, being sent to jail doesn't violate your right to kill, killing people is still a constitutionally protected right!

"i know that our religion says u either follow my son or ur going to hell..i kind of disagree with that..." - So, are u saying that u're not really Christian?! How do you claim to be part of a religion, when you don't agree with everything it says?!

"for u give people the right to make their own rules i bet no 2 people will go by the same set of rules.." - First of all morality != rules, so relative moralism doesn't necessarily mean people acting randomly. Secondly, rules of a country should be defined by the people. Thats called "Democracy". Yes, democracy does not give people the power to rule individually, but democracy works on the assumption that every individual forms his own opinions and views, not a brainwashed nation.
So, taking democracy as an example, we see that we can create harmony even in a non-homogeneous set of people.

man! all of us have sins..only a small number of us repent and ask for forgivness..if u do that then u will not get punished..end of story..cuz without atleast the idea of punishment being there what the hell will stop anyone from going around and killing a person with or without a reason...should i understand that LHP religions do not have punishment or even sins??

lets not start about killing in jordan cuz i think u know more than me that u can kill someone in a moment of anger and not get into jail for it...or u can kill a muslim male or female if they change their religion and not get punished for it either..so it has nothing to do with punishment at all so put it on the side lol

about not agreeing..i already told u that i do not consider myself religious in term of worship and prayer..i do however try my best to stick to being a good human being...which is why i said that to me God is good..and he will not judge according to things such as ur religion (which is more or less not something u can control for if ur born into a christian family u will stick to that and the same thing if u were born muslim) God will judge according to actions..according to morals in which u may think are born with you..God is simply there to point out right from wrong and to bring into our lives these morals we are supposed to live by ..

About the killings, honor killings are out of topic. My point is that having a right to do something means that there would be no legal punishment if you do it. So it is ironical to say that God gave us the right to sin, but he will punish us if we use that right.

"should i understand that LHP religions do not have punishment or even sins??" - Not necessarily. As an atheist, I don't believe in the after life, nor do I believe that there will be eternal punishment after death. Earthly punishment (for example, law enforcement) is another issue.

"God is simply there to point out right from wrong and to bring into our lives these morals we are supposed to live by .." - This is where I completely disagree with you. We don't need God, or any supreme being, to tell us what he thinks is right and wrong, or give us morality. This is an insult to humanity.

There is a slogan that goes like this: "Why believe in God? Just be good for goodness sake!". Another saying goes like this: "Good people do good things. Bad people do bad things. But for a good person to do bad things, it takes religion."

ur driving me crazy lol...it shouldnt be an insult to humanity what so ever. i understand good people do good things...i agree..and that is what i believe in that you should be a good human being and thats it. But what is goodness?? how do u measure that?? how do u even know what it means or that it exists if it is not pointed out to you by a power u can never comprehend....take a simple example..if you as a child lets say hit another child for whatever reason...and your mother wasn't there to tell you and teach you that it is wrong..will u ever learn on ur own that hitting people is wrong?? (i know stupid example but shows what i mean)

Devil's Mind said...

The way I see it, it is an insult. RHP religions undermine the humans' ability to figure things on their own.

A child can learn that hitting other children is not right. And that child can teach his children his newly found knowledge when he get children of his own. There is nothing wrong in teaching your children what you know. But it so happens that sometimes a child can figure out things that are even better than what his parents taught him. A student can outperform his master. Thats called progress.

If we take women rights as an example, "God"'s morals are obviously based on the view that women are somehow inferior to men. But humans -on their own- figured out the falseness of that view, and corrected it. In a certain way, humans' sense of morality outperforms that of "God".

Then again, religions are based on people's sense of morality, because religions are a human invention. So why should we take the morality of people 2000 years ago, to be a measure of morality nowadays?!

this discussion is endless..and pointless since we're both stuck on different sides..i don't think its wrong to figure out what u believe in and what makes life more understandable to you...but the fact that u think that there is no bigger power than u in control of everything which u should acknowledge gives no meaning to life.. but then again its better than millions out there who just take whatever comes their way with no thinking or analyzing of any kind.... :)

Devil's Mind said...

Agreed. Its a very diverse topic with many branches. The important thing is we think and analyze. Some people don't even think of what they believe, their best argument for the truth of something is that it is written in their "holly book". But it shows that you have paid some thought to what you believe and that is very important and admirable.

Anyways, I will blog about some admirable Christian views in the next two days. It would be nice to have you on that discussion. Also, read this post, I think it might interest you: It is a Christian view that I think is admirable.

i read the post..glad u still see something good in ur religion :p i think that u cant put justice and generosity in the same place at once..at one action u are either just or generous...having one will push the other out of the picture immediately...and i think it is a good thing that he is generous more than he is just, cause otherwise the world would have come to an end a long long time ago..

revelation 20:10-14 - then the devil, who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had already been thrown; and they will be tormented day and night forever.
revelation 22:12-13 - listen! says Jesus. "I am coming soon! I will bring my rewards with me, to give to each one according to what he has done. I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

I have elaborately read The Holy Bible and I have beseeched God's permission to read this much of The Satanic Bible. This 3 part book has brought me to a state of placidness. I am a unorthodox piety, and, pious being. Today and for the rest of my existence I am a boastful Satanist. -Sirius BlackMagic Draconic
