An Inevitable Question
Sitting with my friends on the TV, they were passing through channels, they stumble on Melody channel (An Arab music channel, known for showing newcomer half-naked female singers) and Qur'an (The Islamic bible) was being broadcasted. "Whats this channel?" I asked. "Melody!" a friend replied, and then came the inevitable question: "So now Qur'an is some kind of new sexual fetish?!"

Not Funny ... and the question is not Inevitable at all ! It is Ironic that you see Quran on Melody ... But that doesn't entitle you to make jokes about Quran. and By the way ... Quran is not an Islamic Bible ... Big mistake and a poor misconception !! It's called The Islamic Holy Book, or more easily : The Quran.
Go get a life man. Try to attract attention by talking about other issues. Make fun of Qaeda or Fundamentalists or anything The Quran is so out of your league.
I think that ppl who like those new songs/singers are the ones who tend to listen/watch Quran ;)

Isam, it depends on how you see it... Basically, I am mocking Melody channel for their unexpected turn! On a different note, I don't think the term "bible" is lingually problematic in this context... Maybe you should check in a dictionary what the word "bible" means.
DM, eww! I was surprised at first to see Quran on Melody, but it is understandable now because of the person who died! I guess it is more of a traditional behaviour than a religious one.
But hey, haven't you heard before the song Mohammad of the English Arabic singer on melody? It isn't a channel for sexual fetishes only! It spread other kind of music as well!
That is what we call multi purpose channel! lol
The question is, who cares what happened to the owner of the channel?! Its a music channel, they either broadcast music or close bussiness. As an end user, I don't care what happens in the network as long as they do their job. I see that someone isn't doing his job properly!!

According to dictionary.com:
"bible": (often lowercase) the sacred writings of any religion.
I don't see any reference to the word "bible" being a disparaging or offensive term. If you have a reference that says otherwise, it might be a good idea to cite it.

Merriam-Webster doesnt use "any" religion ... it uses "some religions like Judaism"
and i told u it wasnt about the meaning its about political correctness ...
anyway we are wasting our time because Melody is back on track :)
