Selfish Unselfishness

Satanism represents a form of controlled selfishness. This does not mean that you never do anything for anyone else. If you do something to make someone for whom you care happy, his happiness will give you a sense of gratification.

Yeah, lets not forget that we all are just selfish beings no matter how much evidence one holds against that!

"Love wasted on ingrates" can be very tiring and have serious negative effects on one's ability to love, to give. I admire how Lavey put it, "...because he (the Satanist) is able to give vent to his hatred through ritualized expression, he is far more capable of love - the deepest kind of love... Without being able to experience one of these emotions, you cannot fully experience the other."

And this applies to giving: You cannot learn to give without experiencing the joy of taking.

Selfishness is the core motivation for absolutely everything- this I truly believe.

only a person who is comfortable in his own skin, can make sm1 else comfortable with em, and one can only love another through the love for himself.

it is important when trying to understand others to understand what motivates them... and there is no-way easier than honestly asking oneself: 'what motivates me?'; and once you can give urself an honest answer -and since we are all humans- one can start to understand another....

btw, i like your choice of quotations!

Thank u:)

Understanding what motivates others... I'm sure we all do it subconsciously, but that is something I will be thinking about. And you said it well, "there is no way easier than honestly asking oneself, What motivates me?'"

what is the point of having a Bible? Its nonesense. I read some of it. I couldn't buy any of it. The script is not professional. It is biased!
The first page is meaningless.
corruption is everywhere. it doesn't mean that every saint is a saint. so? lose faith? poeple are double faced.. Its not the end of the world. Someone should stand up for what is intinctly good. It was never meant necessarily for what is preached to be done. There is idealism and there is what is just theorectical and there is what is applicable and doable. Is this bible different than the Christian Bible. Its the same as well. a set of laws. what is the difference? what? do you have the choice to take it or leave it? .. its still laws.
