Girl: blah.. blah.. blah.. blah.. Anyways, there is this guy who has been chasing me for quiet a while, seems he wants to befriend me... But what the hell, after all: I am worth the trouble.... Am I not?
(Trying to hint that I don't pay her attention)
Girl: Or what do you think ...(Looking at me).. Zaid?
Me: Very true
Girl: Liar
Me: Why do you call me a liar?
Girl: Because your are a liar, you don't really think i'm worth the trouble!
Me: Uh, Hell! Don't call me a liar, please! I do think you're worth the trouble. But anyways, you know what: you have the right to think whatever the hell you want to think!
This little excerpt is seriously flawed!! First of all, if one already know the answer to a question, why do they ask it in the first place? The question had only a Boolean answer: True or False. So if one was so sure that true was not the right answer then it needs no questions to figure that false is the right one! Just don't ask a Boolean question when you have prejudice on the outcome of that question!
Let's get on the second more interesting part: I am a satanist, and being such I know that selfishness is the golden rule! So hell, it needs no questioning: You are worth the trouble because its YOU!! So if anyone was so sure that you are worth the trouble, this one needs to be YOU - not me!! I wouldn't ask anyone if I am worth the trouble, because I KNOW I am... and similarly no-one needs to ask anyone else what they are worth, because nothing is worth anything without YOU, and you know it (or at least supposed to); And if one is ignorant to that, it's their problem!
Finally, if one is calling someone agreeing with them a liar: what does that make of them?
Guess that's one more person on the list of people I can never understand!!!

Lol.. very true:)
"No one needs to ask anyone else what they are worth, because nothing is worth anything without YOU, and you know it (or at least supposed to)." But this is not always the case- people still need others to make them feel worthy, especially when it comes to people they are drawn to. When they fail to feel or see that they're important to them, they start questioning themselves.
I don't think it was really a question of insecurity as much as her wanting a compliment from you, but you can never tjamel if you're not one to do so. It gets totally poitnless.
"I don't think it was really a question of insecurity as much as her wanting a compliment from you,"; I wanst even hinting it was out of insecurity, i know that it merely seeking a complement....
I am just being a bit of an ass, and i know it :S
Just over-explaining things for the sake of writing the entry and making a point....
but, u know, if she seeked a complement, she could have at least trusted my word on it!! (still being an ass)
it might not necessarily be for the sake of insecurity or compliment. sometimes people seek an answer from someone whom they consider their word for granted and worth considering. this should mean something to you. if i do ask you in whatever issue, i do count or care to listen to the answer, so, yes you were an ass.
but this does not give her an excuse for what she asked about, childish.
"this should mean something to you." - Yeah sure, it flattered me that she prompts me for answers... additionally, she voiced out her objection, making me reconsider some of the things i might have done to give her the wrong impression... but all of that was beyond this entry! :D
